French club Amiens have started legal proceedings for their "unjust" relegation after France Ligue 1 season was ended early because of the coronavirus crisis.
Club president Bernard Joannin said in a news conference that the decision goes against sporting fairness and they have been forced into going to court to try to overturn the unfair decision.
Based on the decision by the French Leagues governing body, back in April, Paris St-Germain were awarded the League 1 title, with Amiens and Toulouse being relegated with 10 matches left to play, after the French government cancelled the 2019-20 sporting season.
